Working 1 to 1 with someone to explore your possibilities is very much in line with Surefoot’s assertion that When people have... - space to think and - time to explore motives and feelings ... they create their own paths towards positive long-lasting change.
In addition to this assertion, experience and a curious questioning approach coupled with practical suggestions, form our approach to mentoring.
"Working with Pam was a great learning experience for me and she supported me in overcoming challenges with my studies and career. I found Pam to be approachable and encouraging and my mentoring experience was very beneficial for me." Joanne Martin | medical school student
When setting up mentoring pairs (mentee and mentor) we ensure that we match the needs with the appropriate experience, and continue to assess along the way what the needs of the individual are and how well we are meeting those needs.
"Pam's mentoring was a real catalyst for change and it continues to influence my work. Her passion for supporting change in a values-led and sustainable way is infectious, but Pam never pushes or forces anything, rather questioning, probing and coaching you to find your own way."
